Rev. Nao Xiong Her and his wife Bao have been serving with the Hmong District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance since 1992. They have two children: Esther who is a junior at Toccoa Falls College and Nathan a sophomore at Trinity International University. Rev. Her is a graduate from Toccoa Falls College (B.S.), Trinity Theological Seminary (M.A.), and Multnomah Biblical Seminary (M.Div.). He has been with Denver Hmong Alliance Church since 2008. Before he moved to Denver, he pastored churches in Tracy, Minnesota; Madison, Wisconsin; and Portland, Oregon.
Rev. Her enjoys fishing with the men in the church on his free time. His passion is to preach biblical truths passionately. He looks serious, but he has humorous personality when you get to know him.
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
My passion is to witness a generation that will radically commit to the final authority of scripture.
I believe the church’s mission is to have compassion so much on the lost that our lives are sacrificed to bring them into the kingdom.
–Pastor David Yang
Phillip attended Simpson University and graduated with a degree in Youth Ministries in 2011. Upon returning home to Colorado, he served in DHAC’s youth ministry until he accepted the call to become DHAC’s children’s pastor in May of 2016.
Phillip’s passion is to teach the Word of God so that every child would come to know, accept, and serve Jesus Christ as His disciple.
On his days off Phillip enjoys the outdoors (especially kayaking and fishing) and spending time with family and friends. He also loves playing sports and enthusiastically rooting for all Denver/Colorado sports teams.
Phillip met his bride, Paulina, at Simpson University. They were happily married in Seattle, WA, in August 2013.
